Everything to report

Working closely with a client on their reports. By working with clients we not only develop their reports we also train them how to develop them.

Crystal Reports are a great reporting tool but they are not a simple switch on and have a dabble. You need a good solid understanding of the basics.

We like to work with our clients, not only to develop their reports with them. But to also to facilitate their learning of using crystal reports within their business.

If you have bought crystal reports and want to get more than the standard reports or you are having to call in a consultant to develop your reports for you. Think about not only having the reports created but being trained to be able to create them yourself.

Skillsbase Training

We have a scheduled date for the training event to take place 26th of May

The day is looking very good, lots of learning and exercises to do but plenty of fun as well.

Skillsbase

We are working with Skillsbase to provide a tailored course for their staff. The course is based around change, teams and communications.

This course is being developed specifically for them, if you want your own courses developed for you then please get in touch with us to arrange a discussion about your needs.

Word 2007 forms

Just uploaded 2 e-learning modules for someone who was having issues understanding how to put a form together in Word 2007.

Part 1 was looking at the layout of the form.

Part 2 was putting form elements on to lock down the design, so users can only change the sections you want them to. It also shows how to lock the form.

If others find them useful then feel free to take a look in our downloads section, under shortcuts.

e-Learning Modules

We are working on the development of our e-Learning modules.  The initial modules will be designed to support our traditional training courses.

The intention though is to make them into smaller manageable modules which would also help anyone who finds it easy enough to learn via e-learning.

When we move to the completed modules, there will be tests built in to assess your understanding.  The tests do not have to be completed but offer a way to get feedback on what you have currently learnt.

e-Learning for support

One of the issues that faces many learners is the ongoing support after the training. After all, if training is only 10% of learning then how do you ensure your clients get the most out of the training you deliver.

Also, what if you are just trying to help someone out? Over the phone is a reasonable support mechanism but we wanted to take this a little further. Continue reading

Comments?

We are starting to open our posts for comments, is this a good idea or more of a chance of being hacked?

Well, we are now closing the comments due to the number of spam comments we are getting.

Seriously spammers, you need to get out more often

We have added a Stories section

We have added a new stories section in the downloads area.  This will be used to add stories that we use on training courses.

We hope you enjoy the stories and if you have any you would like to share then please send them on to us.

Course Types

Open Courses

Open courses are courses that are available to anyone to attend.  The content of these courses, is generic and can be used within any business type.  Often referred to as a “Public” course.

Closed Courses

Closed courses are courses that have been tailored to a particular business or an organisation has booked more than the minimum number of staff to run the course.  In some cases even though the business can restrict others coming on, they sometimes request that we allow others onto the course as well.

Workshops

Workshops are short duration courses that are aimed to tackle specific subjects i.e. pivot tables in Excel or Tables in Word.  They typically last for 1 hour and can cater for up to 10 people per session.  We can either run several of the same session throughout the day or have different sessions to deal with the majority of needs within your business i.e. Word tables 1 session, Excel Pivot tables the next session, Excel charts the next and finally Animation in PowerPoint.

Floor walking

Floor walking is similar to workshops but more of a 1-2-1 basis.  Prior to the scheduled day, you send us a list of people we need to see on the day and the types of issues they are having.  We then visit each in turn throughout the day and sit with them at their desk helping them solve their issues.

1-2-1

1-2-1 training is focused training on issues an individual has.  This type of course can be very intensive.

Is this you?

You struggle to find the time to take 1 day or several days out of your business, so you can learn?
